“By Facet & Scale” “By Facet & Scale” is a photography exhibit, presented in collaboration with LE Gallery, of recent and key pieces from David Trautrimas’s body of work. This exhibition highlights the artist’s photo-based techniques of digitally fabricating natural and man-made environments, as revealed, for example, in his transformation of modern appliances into re-imagined architectural structures and in his crafting of atmospheres reminiscent of aerial and satellite mappings. Toronto-based Trautrimas, whose work is acclaimed both locally and internationally, fuses his technological and artistic skills to push the boundaries of photographic capabilities. Ultimately, the artist provides an alternate understanding of architecture and landscape.
Proceeds from the exhibition will be donated in part to OCAD University, The Al Green Gallery Student Bursary, a non-repayable award given primarily on the basis of financial need. The Ontario government through a program called “Ontario Trust for Student Support” matches all private donations.
