The Al Green Gallery was founded by Canadian real-estate developer, sculptor, and philanthropist Al Green. It showcased Green's sculptural works alongside that of fellow artists, including members of the Sculptors Society of Canada and the Al Green Sculpture Studio. Since 2009, under the leadership of his daughter Lindy Green, the gallery has broadened its focus to include all mediums. It does not represent artists in the traditional manner but offers one-time exhibitions to emerging, mid career and senior artists. A portion of sale proceeds from each exhibition is donated to a community based charitable organization. As well as raising funds and awareness, this midtown gallery also hosts charitable, corporate and educational events.
